| Abstract | Hybrid external fixation is a way of treatment for proximal and distal metaphyseal and intraarticular tibial fractures. It consists of ring frames, tensioned Kirschner wires and special clamp connecting half rings and Schanz screws (half pins) in diaphysis. Our experience with the use of hybrid fixation in metaphyseal and intraarticular tibial fractures with its advantages and disadvantages are presented. | |
