Abstract		Childhood functional gastrointestinal disorders are the group of chronic or recurrent disorders characterized by typical groups of symptoms without recognizable structural or biochemical causes and are usually related to the specific age of a child. In contrast to functional gastrointestinal disorders in adults that are classified according to a target organ, childhood gastrointestinal disorders are classified according to main complaints reported by children or their parents. Vomiting is the main symptom of infant regurgitation, infant rumination syndrome, and cyclic vomiting syndrome. Abdominal pain characterizes functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, functional abdominal pain, abdominal migraine, and aerophagia. Functional diarrhea represents separate entity. Disorders of defecation are classified as infant dyschesia, functional constipation, functional fecal retention, and functional nonretentive fecal soiling. This paper is intended to present definitions, differential diagnostics and treatments of defined functional gastrointestinal disorders of childhood.
Summary		Funkcionalne bolezni prebavil pri otrocih vključujejo skupino kroničnih ali ponavljajočih se motenj, za katere so značilne skupine simptomov, ki jih ne moremo pojasniti s strukturnimi ali biokemičnimi nepravilnostmi in so pogosto vezane na določeno starostno obdobje. Za razliko od klasifikacije funkcionalnih bolezni prebavil pri odraslih, ki so razvrščene glede na tarčne organe, so funkcionalne bolezni pri otrocih razvrščene glede ria vodilni simptom . Med motnje, kjer je vodilni simptom bruhanje, prištevamo regurgitacijo dojenčkov, sindrom ruminacije in sindrom cikličnega bruhanja. Bolečine v trebuhu so značilne za funkcionalno dispepsijo, sindrom iritabilnega črevesa, funkcionalno bolečino v trebuhu, trebušno migreno in aerofagijo. Posebno entiteto predstavlja funkcionalna driska. Funkcionalne motnje odvajanja blata pa so dishezija dojenčkov, funkcionalno zaprtje, funkcionalno zadrževanje blata in uhajanje blata brez zadrževanja. V prispevku je opisana definicija, diferencialna diagnostika in zdravljenje posameznih funkcionalnih bolezni prebavil pri otrocih.
