Abstract		Variceal ligation in oesophagus of stomach is nowadays taken as the therapy of the choise. In the same time pharmacologic treatment is performed. When is necessary also variceal sclerosation or ballon tamponade, TIPS, or operative treatment can be successful.
Summary		Trenutno je ligatura varic v požiralniku in želodcu smatrana za najprimernejšo transendoskopsko interventno metodo zdravljenja. Ob sočasnem zdravljenju z zdravili se lahko izvede tudi skleroterapija varic, ob neuspešnosti pa še tamponado varic, TIPS in operativno zdravljenje.
