Abstract     Stroke cuts deeply into man's life and work, the life of the patient's family, his or her friends, colleagues and others. The disorders resulting from the disease become manifest in numerous areas of his activity. Resulting from all of the said problems is the patient's inability to be self-dependent in daily activities, at taking care of himself, attending to his work and other tasks. Hemianopsia or loss of the half visual field is one of the stroke related disorder. The disturbance occur in the cerebral cortex or the optical tract. Hemianopsia prevents patient's functional improvement, it's a disorder that patient have to live with, means compensate it. Loss of the visual field affects also balance, causes disturbances on walking, there may be difficulties on recognition and determination subjects, at feeding, reading, writing, etc... The research carry out how hemianopsia influence on self-dependence at dressing and transfer of hemiplegic patient.
