Abstract     In spite of many existing definitions term refleksotherapy and some other related concepts are not finally discussed and by majority accepted. The pr-esent article introduces us with basic information about deftnition of refleksotherapy adopted by World Health Or-ganization, the essence and main goals of this method. Historical evidence such as Platon's writtings or existence of Chinese traditional medicine proves that refleksotherapy has been used into health purposes long before development of modern method that has been adjusted to needs and demands of more stressful everyday life that moder-n individu-al is now exposed to. ln this context William Fitzgerald, Eunice D. lnghana and Hanne Marguard are most well-deserved for "re-birth" of refleksotherapy and its development through 20th century in western world. The ar-ticle also gives us fundamental insight into beginnings in early 90.-is and present situation of refleksotherapy in Slovenia.
