Abstract		Background: The aim of the study was to examine some characteristics of articles published in Zobozdravstveni vestnik over a period of ten years. Material and methods: Fifty issues of the journal appearing between the years 1993 and 2002 were reviewed to determine the scope of individual volumes, the number and type of contributions, the fields covered in the articles and the number and affiliation of contributors. Results and discussion: During the 10-year period, the journal published 320 articles and 46 other contributions on a total of 1636 pages. Among the 320 articles, there were 142 research papers and 178 professional reports. More than half of the articles were written by a single author. A total of 320 authors were staff members of the Division of Stomatology, and 40 were members of the Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery. Of the remaining 297 authors, 172 were dentists and 125 belonged to other professions. Analysis of the subject matter showed that most articles were concerned with Dental maferials. Somewhat less attention was devoted to Periodontology and dental implaniology, Dental diseases and endodontics, and to Fixed and Removable prosthodontics.
Summary		Izhodišče: Namen pričujočega dela je bil na osnovi stvarnih podatkov prikazati nekatere značilnosti prispevkov, ki so bili objavljeni v Zobozdravstvenem vestniku od leta 1993 do 2002. Gradivo in način dela: V 50-ih številkah Zobozdravstvenega vestnika iz obdobja od 1993 do 2002 smo ugotavljali obseg letnikov, število prispevkov, vrsto člankov, število avtorjev na članek, število in vrsto avtorjev prispevkov, vrsto in število zobozdravstvenih področij v člankih. Izsledki in razpravljanje: Objavljenih je bilo 320 člankov in 46 drugih prispevkov na skupno 1636 straneh, 142 člankov je bilo raziskovalnih, 178 strokovnih. Članki so bili v dobri polovici primerov delo enega avtorja, avtorjev s Stomatološke klinike je bilo 320, s Klinike za maksilofacialno in oralno kirurgijo 40, 297 je bilo zunanjih avtorjev: 172 zobozdravnikov in 125 drugih strokovnjakov. Najpogosteje obravnavano področje v člankih je bilo Dentalni materiali, sledila so področja Parodontologija in dentalna implantologija, Zobne bolezni in endodontija, Fiksna in Snemna proteiika. Druga klinična področja so bila bistveno manjkrat obravnavana, kar je bilo opazno posebno v drugi polovici desetletnega obdobja.
