Abstract		The Surgical Emergency Unit of University Medical Centre Ljubljana daily provides medical care for a big number of injured people. Among them are also the patients who suffered injuries due to the alcohol drinking. Providing safety for theses patients requires a lot of knowledge, experience, patience and time. The patients under the influence of alcohol need constant observation since their medical condition can easi ly change and because they are not able to take care of themselves. The patients have to be given psychical and physical care from the time they come to hospital till the time they are either discharged or are hospitalized at Clinical Department of Traumatology.
