Abstract		Influence of pain reaches all three aspects of persons integrity: physical, mental and social. In this article are presented reasons for and diferent aproaches to define degree of pain, roles of patients and nurses in pain dominating and pain therapy in UMC trauma patients. Beckgroudn for this article is a study that included patients, who addmited to traumathology department of UMC Ljubljana in april 2004. Patients were asced to fill out prepaired questioneer accordingly to the VAS scale, thay graded their pain imediatly after injury and after aplication of analgetic. The research task want to note the presence and degree of pain in patients and if they got any analgetics. The results of research are demonstrated in graph form and board.
