Abstract     Baby-friendly hospital is a hospital which strictly respects and implements UNICEF rules of Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding in maternity facilities. The basic condition for implementation of policy and doctrine on breastfeeding in maternity facilities is professional and trained health care staff. The personnel recruitment in BFH is based on providing the conditions for professional training of midwives, nurses and other medical staff working with breastfeeding mothers and newborn infants.
