Abstract		Breastfeeding is learned art, and women must be motivated to learn it. Self- confidence is crucial for successful breastfeeding. While counseling for breastfeeding is important to build mother's confidence and skills. Review article give definition of self-confidence, self picture, protection, support and promotion of breastfeeding, prenatal, natal and postnatal support, and communication skills for successful help in breastfeeding counseling.
