Abstract		In ZD Sevnica a support group of recovered addicts has been active for twenty years and for the last nine years their mentor has been a GP, specializing in family medicine. This article is a presentation of group members, their success, their problems and also of the therapist's thoughts on knowledge and personality qualities required for this work.
