Abstract		Acne vulgaris is seen in nearly 100% of individuals at some time during their lives. Topical retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, azalaic acid are effective in patients with mild acne with comedones. Topical erythromycin and clindamycin are effective mith moderate inflamatory acne. A low-androgen oral contraceptive pill is effective in women with moderate to sever acne. Isotretinoin is reserned for use in the teratment of the most severe or refractory cases of inflammatory acne.
