Abstract		The rules of obligatory health insurance define all questions concerning rights and obligations of insured persons wishing to obtain medical technical devices. The Medical tehnical devices are assured to persons according the Law of health care and health insurance. Insured persons are assured to obtain medical tehnical devices needed for treatment and medical rehabilitation. The Law did not define the insured persons in each detail, but gave full authority to the Health insurance institute of Slovenia as the sole institute carrying out obligatory health insurance in our contry. The Health insurance institute specifically defines illnesses and health conditions of insured persons which are entitled to give medical technical devices. The decision-making organ is the administration, which: - enable improvement of basic functions, needed for a normal life, - enable independent life style, - enable getting over obstacles in the surroundings, - prevent from essential deterioriation of health condition or even death.
