Abstract		Stoma itself doesn't represents big physical distraction, but it means huge changes in self-acceptation. As we know how important part of our childhood is potty training, we can imagine how shackley can be, when elderly people found out that they lost ability to control stool and urine secretion. Good and correctly chosen ostomy care product can mitigate this problem and represent basic for successful rehabilitation of ostomate. Important role in choosing ostomy care product, teaching ostomy care, recognizing different complications and of course moral support are playing nurses specialize in entreostomal therapy. With this article I want to emphases the role of family doctor as a chosen doctor. They are often the first one that came in contact with the ostomate and his problem and than react focusly. Knowing the basics of stoma care and having the information where to found extra help ables him to recognize the problem and responds correctly.
