Abstract		The surgical operations of inguinal hernia are the most frequent ones in general surgery. The surgical technique changed very much in the course of time. Today the inguinal hernia is operated by the open tension, tension-free and laparoscopic method. The aim of work is to summarize multicentric studies that in a suitable manner analyze the results of comparison of single surgical techniques.
