Abstract		In the contribution we present endoscopic techniques of operating inguinal hernias. The approach is transabdominal (TAPP) or preperitoneal (TEP). The purpose for all these techniques was the following: the number of recurrences, the lessening of postoperative pains and the shortening of sick leave. The indications for the endoscopic techniques are nowadays rarer because of operation costs and possible serious complications.
