Abstract		When operating inguinal hernia we can choose between various types of anaesthesia: regional, local and the combination of local anaesthesla and sedation. The choice is influenced by safety, economy and postoperative analgesia. In the recent years anaesthesia at inguinal hernia operations is used in daily surgery. By effective medical treatment of postoperative pains we can improve the healing quality, assure the safisfactory sate of health, reduce the sickliness, mortality and treatment costs.
