Abstract     The level of informatics support in primary health care, satisfaction of health care professionals and patients with different informatics' technology products as well obstacles for more successful implementation of the same are all the important criteria for quality assessment in all health care systems. In last decade, we hadn't performed any meaningful studies about successfulness of computer technology usage in Slovenian primary care settings. Therefore, the objectives of our pilot study were: the assessment of the actual state of affairs and identification of possible barriers for more successful application of informatics and computer technology among primary care physicians in Slovenia. Conclusions: The basic aims of the study - establishing the research method and assessment of the actual state of affairs and expectations among the primary care physicians in two Slovene districts have been reached Considering the smallness of the sample, we need to be careful when generalize the results of the study about the whole population of Slovenian primary care physicians.
