Abstract     The directives about standards and normatives in the field of medical informatics tried to be accepted in the whole European union over the internet. The most important is how to ensure the patient data security, confidentiality and privacy protection. The new possibilities were developed like telemedicine, based on integration of web access. The physicians can exchange images and data obout dignostic and therapeutic procedures and obtain more complete information for improving quality of care with comparing to reference standards. The consultation via a websitecan be used for a faster decision making for the patients Treating procedures. The standardized databases were developed for improving health care, harmonised clinical trials and for educational purposes. The recommendations were made to make better health related websites. These qualita criteria include honesty, autority, privacy, data protection, updating , accountability and updating informations on the website. In this short review the analysis of documents including in the two medical databases MEDLINE and Biomedicina Slovenica was made.
