Abstract		Usually the classical transactional systems are pointed toward fast and mass input of operational data. Because of its nature the transactional system are inadequate for fast preparation of reports and analysis. Frequently happens in transactional systems thal data are merged to certain summarized level and after processing all range of analytical data is lost. The loss of analytical data is crucial for keeping track on single event, particularity or trend on specific area. One example in the field of health insurance is tracking the cost on health services, drug prescriptions and medical technical accessories where detail žnformation can be lost during the accounting process. This paper describes a case of planning, building and use of data warehouse in Insurance Company where it has proved to be an indispensable tool in daily reporting. After loading data into data warehouse users by help of already prepared or ad-hoc reports fram different levels and departments have better view on transformed data.
