Abstract		This summary stresses the assessment in occupational therapy and presents Extended Barthel Index, which was used in our research and has been used for assessment of in dependency in Inštitut RS for rehabilitation. In article a research is presented, which is based on comparison between left and right hemiplegia and consecutive dependency by grade in activities of daily living. The aim of research is to ascertain the differences in disability between two groups and at the same time to evaluate the progress of both groups according to the side of disability, sex, and to ascertain the efficiency occupational proceedings according to above mentioned factors.
