Abstract     The study discusses the meaning of interpersonal relations between staff and nurse students during clinical practice. First part explains sociological and psychological theories connected with htis theame, explaines influences on interpersonal relations between students and staff. The impact of interpersonal relations made on students is also presented. In the end of this chapter the model of profesionall interpersonal relations by Hildegard Peplau is presented. Main questions of research are: How do students experience social atmosphere during clinical practice? How do students in experience the role of nurse staff? Do students expirience emphathy and collaboration in interpersonal relations with staff? How do students evaluate their own and others' personal capabilities which are necessary for professionall relations? How does interpersonal relations and staffs' roll influence on students' professional devolopment? The results of research showe that general impression on interpersonal relations seen by nurse students »is neither good nor bad«. Reasons for not reaching the ideal outcome of clinical practice are: gap between teory and practice in nursing proffesion; bad organization of clinical practice; inequality in student-staff communication; undeveloped programms of work with students; not involving students in work planning; showing none interest for students ideas, inovations and requests; the lack of supervision. Nurse students do not attain enough organization and inovation skills. The staff, through their rolles, do not have positive innfluence on students' professional development and development of professional identity, niether do they have positive influence on students' ability of selfconfidence and ability of team-work. In conclusion the new roll of student and nurses is presented, also the new roll of university and clinical areas of practice.
