Abstract		Infection control practices must take in account the reasons for higher rates of infections in the hospitals. Risk factors for hospital infections are higher susceptibility of patients and numerous invasive procedures. Source of bacteria can be the patient himself or the environment. Cross infections occur mostly by contacf. Infection control practices include isolation; hand hygiene and good profesional care. The education of the staff is very important.
