Abstract     Activity of DDD are required on many fields, aiming to prevent human infection. DDD Activities are regulated by health regulations and veterinary regulations. Fundamental acts that represent basis for DDD activities are Communicable diseases act, Chemical act and Act on veterinary and codes of practice. Code of practice on requirements for DDD activities set minimal requirements for any activities on the field on DDD, including environmental protection and educational program for workers. DDD activities are done by approved institutions, food industry that produces food from animal sources, providing that equipment and man power is available. Zoonosis protection program is planed and done by veterinary inspection and health services, with aim to protect human health. Control of DDD activities is responsibility of health inspections and in food industry of food of animal origin by official veterinary services.
