Abstract		In the introduction the author describes ba.sic characteristics of regeneration of peripheral nerves and different viewpoints regarding the effects of electrical stimulation of denervated muscles, which are still contradictory. The conclusions of his own research projects on this topic are mentioned. At the end of the article the review of possible physical procedures for enhancing regeneration of peripheral nerves is presented.
Summary		Uvodoma opisuje avtor osnovne značilnosti regeneracije perifernih živcev in različna stališča do učinkov električne stimulacije na denervirane mišice, ki so še vedno protislovna. Omenja zaključke lastnih raziskav vezanih na to problematiko. Na koncu članka podaja pregled fizikalnih postopkov, ki pridejo v poštev pri pospeševanju regeneracije perifernega živčevja.
