Abstract     Femoral neck fracture is characterized by insignificant trauma during the ordinary walking. Reason for that is not only osteoporosis, but hip biomechanics too (localization on horizontal component of weightbearing skelet). Intraarticular localization is additional factor of prolonged heeling, in comparison to other fracture types. Prolonged best resting of our patients could be fatal. That is the main reason for primary endoprosthetic hip replacement after femoral neck fracture. Achieved, long term clinical result could be influenced by some general health parameters. Aim of this article is to relate clinical result of operated hip with age, obesity, accompanying diseases and gender. Inclusion criteria were dislocated femoral neck fracture, unilateral lesion, implantation of cement hip endoprosthesis (Aostin-Moore) as primary surgical treatment, minimal follow up was 18 months. Study is prospective. Due to strict inclusion criteria, high mortality rate of this population and lack of interest of patients there were analyzed only 32 patients from basic group of 131 patients. For clinical evaluation we have used Harris rating scale - Harris Hip Score- HHS. Majority of our patients were octogenerian females with numerous accompaniing diseases which are related to final clinical result (HHS- 72 points). Age, level of nourishment and gender could not be related to long term clinical result. If we evaluate postoperative clinical result after femoral neck fracture and implantation of unipolar cemented hip endoprosthesis together with general health condition of patinet, then we should not attribute limitations of functional abilities to hip injury and its treatment, but to general health condition.
