Abstract		The article presents the reasons for parenteral drug application, its characteristics and methods of different drug applications. Intramuscular injection is presented in detail. Most common problems and side effects of muscular and subcutaneous drug application are presented as well.
Summary		V članku so predstavljeni vzroki za parenteralno dajanje zdravil, lastnosti parenteralnega dajanja zdravil ter značilnosti različnih vnosov zdravil. Podrobneje je obravnavana intramuskularna injekcija. Izpostavljeni so najpogostejši zapleti in spremljajoči pojavi pri dajanju zdravil v podkožje.
