Abstract		Topography and contents of the axilla and its relations to the neighbouring regions are presented. The axilla is a pyramidal region. Its apex continues into the lateral region of the neck. It provides a passageway for the axillary artery, vein and the brachial plexus. The axilla contains six groups of regional lymph nodes.
Summary		V članku je topografsko in vsebinsko opisana aksilarna regija ter njen odnos s sosednjimi regijami. Aksilarna regija ima obliko piramide. Njen vrh povezuje pazdušno jamo in stransko regijo vratu in predstavlja žilno-živčni hilus aksilarne regije. Skoznjo potekajo aksilarna arterija in vena ter brahialni pletež. V njej leži tudi šest skupin regionalnih bezgavk.
