Abstract		Sexually transmitted infections (STI) are a major health problem, especially for adolescents and young adults. The evaluation and management of STI has markedly changed in recent years: treatment options are currently available that have higher patient compliance and acceptability and an easier dosing regimen than previous regimens. This article briefly introduces the most frequent clinical manifestations of STI and focuses on the latest guidelines and recommendations for therapy.
