Abstract     Rhinosinusitis is very frequent complex and multifactorial disease, which represents health problem and economical burden. Initial viral upper airway infection can proceed to bacterial rhinosinusitis as an acute, subacute, chronic or recurrent form of the disease. Pathogeneticaly there is succession of functional and anatomical alterations with various clinical expressions. Despite known bacterial agents the most appropriate antibiotics are still in question. Amoxicillin with Clavulanic acid is the first choice antibiotic, while fluorokinolon Moxifloxacinum is alternative for complicated cases and when first choice antibiotic was unsuccessful. The incidence of rhinosinusitis can also be influenced by preventive measures.
