Abstract		Hematuria can be a sign of disease anywhere in the genitourinary system or a sign of an nephrologyc or a systemic disease. Hematuria is usually defined as more than 3-5 red blood cells per high-powerstandard field in the urinary sediment, this is microhematuria. But when the blood can be seen by the patient's or physician's eyes, that is macrohematuria. In this article the main needed thinking and doings of general practitioner are presented.
