Abstract		The aim of the topic is to present current indications for surgical treatment of prostate cancer and their use in everyday practice. The surgical treatment of prostate cancer consists of classic and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for locally confined disease (T1-T2), and bilateral orchidectomy for advanced disease (T3-T4). Mentioned are also cryotherapy, as a kind of minimally invasive treatment, and TURP which is performed when patient has urinary retention or very low flow of urine.
