Abstract		Due to today's lifestyle, which includes various risk activities and primarily universal participation in traffic, spinal injuries are becoming more and more apparent. The consequences of spinal injuries can often be permanent and the treatment is frequently long lasting and expensive, especially ifthere is an injury of spinal cord and neural structures nerves to accompany the spinal injury. Spinal injuries are mostly treated in nonoperative way, but when indications are appropriate operative therapy is also used. After an appropriate primary treatment of the injury the monthly follow of a patient is necessary. The rehabilitation of spinal injuries is extremely interdisciplinary; not only a traumatologist, but also specialists from other fields of medicine take part in the rehabilitation.
