Abstract     In this article we describe rational imaging of pelvic and peripheral arteries with multislice computer tomographic angiography (CTA), magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA). CTA of peripheral arteries is a fast and accurate diagnostic method for pathology detection. It is most valuable in emergency conditions and in patients, who are hardly fit for classical DSA (without femoral pulses, with limb contractures, in patients, who can not tolerate 24-hour bed rest). MRA is an accurate technique for imaging peripheral arteries. Due to its noninvasiveness - no radiation, non-nephrotoxic contrast media - itis most suitable for young patients and patients with renal impairment. DSA is the only one among the discussed methods to show flow dynamics and remains dominant imaging method in intravascular procedures.
