Abstract     Computerized tomographic angiography is a nonivasive imaging method that is used also for evaluation of carotid arteries. Various reconstruction techniques such as multiplanar intensity projection, multiplanar reformation, 3-dimensional reconstruction, and volume reconstruction tomography are used for assessment of carotid artery stenosis. Computerised tomographic angiography can replace invasive angiography in many instances.
