Abstract     Renal artery stenosis is an important cause of the renal allograft failure. Disclosure of the renal allograft artery stenosis is important, because it is a reversible, treatable cause of renal allograft failure. Surgical or endovascular treatment are possible therapeutic approaches. Classical digital subtraction angiography has been for a long time the »gold standard« diagnostic modalitiy. Today, three-dimensional contrast enhanced magnetic resonance angiography is a safer, non-invasive alternative. Ultrasound imaging of renal arteries represents an excellent »first line« imaging modality.
