Abstract     The ISO standard results from many years' experiences and a comprehension of urgency of the activity for reaching an adequate operation of development-oriented enterprises. To achieve compliance with the standard tens, sometimes even hundreds of system-dependant processes should be controlled and there is none among them that is controlled entirely - in spite of excellent plannings corresponding implementation and successful adaptation. Knowledge, used in these activities, will never be perfect. The door is open for infinity of improvements. Detailed sight into the activity of an institution, into its central part - its services, reveals all the numerousness of vaaiables that call for recognition and correct directing. The institution must ensure all the sources required for the processes, so that the process could ensure the creation of a qualitative service with as low costs as possible. The processes must not be left to a chance. They must be repeatable, if the institution is to ensure equal services to all patients. We avoid being left to a chance by defining (putting down, formalizing) all the processes in such extent, as is required and reasonable with respect to the activity of the institution. In this way, written procedures, which must always be controlled (planned, monitored, regulated) and adequately implemented if we wish to reach their repeatability, arise. And this is what is usually called quality system and represents the element of confidence among business partners.
