Abstract     The authors described basic principles of anaesthesia for endoscopy procedures in otorhynolaryngology and of non-depolarising neuromuscular blocking drug mivacurium. In a pilot study of 25 patients (mean age 47,5 years), the evaluation of the haemodynamic effects and of the reversal of action of mivacurium was done. The changes in arterial blood pressure and heart rate after administration of mivacurium (dose 0,15 mg/kg) over 60 seconds were not statistically significant. Clinical signs of residual neuromuscular block were present in 5 patients.
