Abstract     Objectives: Humans are daily active and passive participants in traffic. The body of the driver is exposed to vibrations. Vibrations, together with incorrect car seat adjustment, could cause discomfort in the locomotor system. We have to be aware that driving is daily burdening, it is a way of life and that is why it deserves special attention in performing therapies. The aim of this paper was to find out driving habits of the participants, what influences the appearance of the discomfort and the groups of it. We were also interested in differences of the genders and the awareness concerning discomfort. Methods: This study is part of the research of the influence of mechanical vibrations on the shape and function of the spine of drivers, grant GAČR 106/03/0958. 118 persons were included in this study, 50 men and 68 women, all were nonprofessional drivers. Persons were chosen accidently. Data from the questionnaire and digital images were used. Discomfort was measured subjectively with the questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of 49 questions, which were divided into 4 main groups (personal data, working information, discomfort and driving habits). Photographs of the participants were taken in a driving position in their own car without changing their seats and secondly in a car Volkswagen Golf IV, where they have to adjust the seat. lmages were treated with the program OBR for MS DOS. The results have been statisticaly worked out (average, standard deviation, hi square test, Peason's coefficient of correlation, pair t-test). (Abstract truncated at 2000 characters)
Summary     Namen: Človek je aktiven in pasiven udeleženec v prometu. Telo voznika je izpostavljeno vibracijam in drugim silam. Vibracije lahko, skupaj z nepravilno nastavljenim avtomobilskim sedežem, v mišično-skeletnem sistemu povzročajo različne stopnje neudobja. Neudobje je stopnjevan občutek od neugodja do bolečine. Vožnja z avtomobilom je vsakodnevna obremenitev in slog živIjenja, zato je prav, da ji pri izvajanju terapij namenimo posebno pozornost. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, zakaj pride pri vožnji z avtomobilom do pojavnosti neudobja in v kakšnih oblikah se pojavlja. Zanimalo nas je, ali obstajajo razlike med spoloma, vpliv vozniških navad in poznavanje težav neudobja. Metode dela: Študija je del raziskave vpliva mehanskih vibracij na stalnost oblike in funkcije hrbtenice pri voznikih, dovoljenje GAČR 106/03/0958. V študijo je bilo vključenih 118 oseb, od tega 50 moških in 68 žensk, nepoklicnih voznikov. Osebe so bile izbrane naključno. Uporabljeni so bili podatki iz ankete in digitalne fotografije. Neudobje je bilo merjeno subjektivno, s pomočjo anketnih vprašanj. Anketa je vsebovala 49 vprašanj, ki so bila razdeljena na štiri glavne sklope, in sicer osebni dejavniki, delovni dejavniki, neudobje in vozniške navade. Preiskovanci so bili fotografirani v položaju za vožnjo v svojem avtomobilu, brez spreminjanja prej nastavIjenega sedeža, in v vozilu volkswagen golf IV, kjer je bilo sedež treba nastaviti. Obdelava slik je potekala s pomočjo programa OBR za MS DOS. Uporabljene so bile metode opisne statistike, pri analizi podatkov je bil izračunan koeficient korelacije po Pearsonu. Za ugotavljanje statistično značilnih razlik v skupini je bil uporabljen parni t-test, za analizo podatkov frekvenčnih tabel pa hi kvadrat test. (Izvleček skrajšan na 2000 znakov)
