Abstract | Unintentional acute inoxication by an illicit drug may be a stresful event for an emergency team. Communicatin with the involved may be a problem. We used a simple questionaire that requires little attention to find out some basic attitudes and knowledge among drug addicts. Three centers, two in Slovenia and one in Italy were included. 77% of participants would call the emergency number assisting unconscious friend with slow breathing who took heroin, 17,4% would give the antidot (naloxon) immediatly. Only 15,2% of those who would use an antidot know in which cases of drug intoxication an antidot is available. | |
