Abstract		Suspicion, even though small, is the basis of correct diagnostic approach to the carbon monoxide (CO) poisoned victim. CO poisoning can among well known symptoms and signs present itself as syncope. The clinical picture of CO poisoning can also mimic a lot of different clinical entities. Considering this it is important to do sometimes detective like anamnestic and heteroanamnestc work in the prehospital setting in order to obtain as many valuable information as possible. The paper stresses the importance of arising clinical suspicion of CO poisoning in patients with strong headache, nausea and syncope.
