Abstract | Rapid sequence intubation is still the most appropriate technique of securing and maintaining a patent airway in a non-fasting patient, provided that this is performed by competent medical personnel. The aim of this article is to emphasize the role of nursing and paramedical staff in rapid sequence intubation airway management. Results of a poll conducted among the nursing and paramedical staff of Clinical department of anesthesiology and intensive therapy University medical centre Ljubljana, Ambulance service of University medical centre Ljubljana and 1B emergency unit Ormož are presented. | |
