Abstract		We would like to emphasize the use of stethoscope by nurse or emergency technician in some specific urgent situations. At the sudden changes in health it is important that the change is recognised as soon as possible. Important part of the job of r.n. or. e.m.t. is to observe patients, and recognize the conditions that can have fatal consequences. And in this condition stethoscope can be very useful, specially if the doctor is not available. For the training of use stethoscope and recognize the sounds, cheap but adequate stimulation programs are available. Results of preliminary study are shoving high interest for using stethoscope, among the students of University college of nursing studies in University of Maribor.
