Abstract		Induced (therapeutic) hypothermia is performed on patients who were successfully reanimated after a cardiac arrest due to ventricular fibrillation. With this measure we want to improve the neurologic outcome and reduce the patient's mortality. Following the model from the 'Centre for Intensive Internal Medicine', we performed induced hypothermia on four patients. In this article we describe a case with a female patient, where we performed induced hypothermia before the transport to primary coronary intervention and nurse's role for this procedure.
