Abstract     Injuries of the teeth are the commonest injury in children. The teeth alone, although most commonly injuried by direct trauma, frequently are damaged by sudden impact of one dental arch against the other. Dental injuries are often associated with trauma to the adjacent processus alveolaris and soft tissues, particulary the lips. Total avulsion from its socket is a grave situation for a tooth, therefore the length of time the tooth has been out of the socket is the most important factor determining successful treatment. The sooner the tooth can be replanted, the better prognosis.
