Abstract     To determine which joining method provides the best mechanical and corrosion resistance for Remanium GM 380 alloy frameworks, the properties of soldered joints and two types of laser welded joints were compared. Cylindrical samples were cast, and their tensile strength was measured using a Zwick Z 030 testing machine. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and electrochemical potentiodynamic polarization were used for assessment of corrosion resistance. After mechanical and electrochemical testing, the fracture surfaces and corrosion defects were analyzed with a scanning electron microscope. Tensile strength of the soldered joints was significantly greater than that of the laser welded joints. On fracture surfaces of the latter, a lot of porosity and unwelded areas were detected, which diminished the bearing area of the joints. The results of the electrochemical measurements indicate that laser welded joints possess better corrosion resistance than soldered joints.
Summary     Z namenom ugotoviti, kateri način spajanja posameznih delov ogrodja protetične konstrukcije iz stelitne zlitine Remanium GM 380 daje najboljše rezultate, smo z mehanskega in korozijskega vidika primerjali lotanje in dva načina laserskega varjenja. Izdelali smo cilindrične vzorce in izmerili njihovo natezno trdnost v trgalnem stroju Zwick Z 030. Za oceno korozijske obstojnosti smo uporabili elektrokemijski metodi: potenciodinamično polarizacijo in impedančno spektroskopijo. Po preizkusu natezne trdnosti in elektrokemijskih meritvah smo lomne ploskve in korozijske poškodbe mikroskopsko pregledali. Natezna trdnost lotanih spojev je bila značilno višja od natezne trdnosti lasersko varjenih spojev. Na lomnih ploskvah lasersko varjenih vzorcev smo ugotovili poroznost in neprevarjene predele, ki so močno zmanjšali njihov nosilni prerez. Iz rezultatov elektrokemijskih meritev sklepamo, da so lotani spoji korozijsko manj obstojni kot lasersko varjeni spoji.
