Abstract		Reports on waterborne outbreaks provide important information about inadequacies in the drinking water supply sistem and about agents that cause them. Official notification of waterborne outbreaks is compulsory in Slovenia. An article presents some data on waterborne outbreaks in Slovenia including causes, causative agents and measures taken. Bacteria were the most frequent agent implicated, followed by viruses and protozoa. Waterborne outbreaks continuous to pose a serious threat to public health.
