Abstract		The article gives an overwiev of documentation defined in relevant waste management legislation. Determination of main required documentation is based on the analysis of the quantities and types of waste in homes for elderly, legislative demands and guidelines in standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001. The analysis results serve as a foundation for the preparation of basic documents and records needed for successful management of waste from activities in homes for elderly.
