Abstract | Noise can cause acute or chronic hearing loss and extraaural effects. A differential diagnosis distinguishes between the occupational hearing loss and other forms of hearing loss which can resemble the occupational hearing loss. There are great individual differences in susceptibility to hearing loss caused by noise. The risk for the development of occupational or workrelated disease is associated with the duration of exposure, intensity of exposure and a genetic predisposition to hearing loss. For workers exposed to noise, the hearing conservation programmes have to be introduced. According to experience of other countries such programmes can be extremely effective. | |
Summary | Škodljivi hrup lahko povzroča akutno ali kronično naglušnost ter ekstraavralne učinke. V diferencialni diagnozi je potrebno ločevati poklicno naglušnost od ostalih naglušnosti, ki so ji lahko podobne. Naglušnost zaradi izpostavljenosti hrupu je izrazito individualno pogojena. Tveganje za nastanek poklicne oz. z delom povezane naglušnosti je povezano s časom izpostavljenosti, intenziteto izpostavljenosti in genetsko predispozicijo za naglušnost. Za delavce, ki so izpostavljeni hrupu, je potrebno zavesti programe zaščite proti hrupu. Izkušnje nekaterih držav kažejo, da so taki programi lahko izjemno učinkoviti. Naglušnost za potrebe odškodninskih zahtev prikazujemo v stopnjah naglušnosti in v odstotku naglušnosti. | |
