Abstract		This article presents the way of depth rescue, which was developed in cooperation of Fire Service, Mountain Rescue Service and Medical Service of Prehospital unit in Kranj. Difficult access to the patients and other hazard associated with high-angle (vertical) rescue involved in our operations in canyon of Kokra river made us to improve and standardise the way of depth rescue. We manage to standardise depth rescue with experiences, gained in past interventions, undertaken in co-operation of Fire Service and with help and knowledge of Mountain Rescue Service. Depth rescue represents a high - angle (vertical) rescue, therefore the skills an techniques of mountain rescue team are needed. For depth rescue from canyon we use the fireservice technical truck and it stands on the bridge over the river. With lifting crane and electromotor winch the rescue team and equipment is lowered on the cable rope to the patient. After the assessment of patient and primary care at the spot, we lift the patient and rescue team to the bridge.
